Walter Mortgage Company (WMC) is a residential mortgage servicing company headquartered in Tampa, FL with divisional offices located in Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Ft. Worth and Houston.

WMC, and its predecessor companies, have been servicing nonconforming residential mortgage portfolios for over 45 years. The portfolio primarily consists of mortgages on homes built by Jim Walter Homes, Inc. and its affiliated builders. WMC is one of the few remaining organizations to provide portfolio servicing through a team of full-time “field-based” employees.

WMC believes that its experienced field staff is the driving factor behind the excellent performance of its nonconforming mortgage portfolio. Portfolio delinquency rates are consistently better than industry standards.

WMC presently services a 35,000 unit securitized nonconforming mortgage portfolio and a 3,000 unit wholly owned nonconforming mortgage portfolio. WMC’s portfolio accounts include both retail installment notes and traditional mortgage loans.
